Lasya Averineni is currently a senior at South Lyon High School from Detroit, Michigan. Her research interests includes gaining a deeper understanding on the mental and physical implications of childhood maltreatment with a focus on investigating the psychological factors behind violent tendencies. Outside of the lab, Lasya is deeply passionate towards medicine and giving back to her community. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano, badminton, baking, and watching cricket!
