The broad, long-term objective of the trauma group is to examine the psychological challenges in the context of adults who have been exposed to childhood maltreatment. More specifically, we propose to use self-report and behavioral assessments to examine the way exposure to childhood maltreatment impaired adult survivors’ representations of their body and mind.

A huge congratulations to Dr. Holly Cooper for successfully defending her thesis titled “The Effect of Individual Differences on Emotion Recognition from Faces and Voices” at Brunel University, London in Spring 2024. Her research specifically delved into exploring childhood trauma, alexithymia, and psychopathy in the context of emotion recognition. As Holly embarks on the next chapter of her academic career, we are immensely proud of her achievements and wish her continued success!
